Water Savers
With limited water and changing climatic conditions Australian Turf Managers are seeking newer and more comprehensive water efficiency options as an everyday requirement. In helping to address this issue Endeavour Turf Products helps explain and present to customers
(without the marketing hype associated with many products!), what the differing options are technically and more importantly how they actually work. This approach across the whole water efficiency products range allows Endeavour Turf Products to deliver a more value focused recommendation and end result to its customers, as nearly all turf areas are affected by different conditions, circumstances and levels of inputs.
Endeavour Turf Products have the ability to independently discuss all current technologies available, be it evaporative controls, moisture monitoring equipment or "block polymer surfactant technology" or even what are ethylene oxide propylene oxide block co-polymers and what do they do.? Endeavour Turf Products has long recognised that appropriate management and utilisation of water will be an ongoing and important requirement and skill set for Turf Managers throughout Australia. With the importance of not only achieving the best turf quality but doing it with limited water and a broader range of water efficiency options.
Some currently available water efficiency options are listed below:
Liquid Water Retention Polymers (use up to 30% less water):
These are a new range of water retention products that offers significant potential for water savings on all turf areas. The AquaBoost™ AG30 Liquid is one of these products and delivers considerable savings on irrigation water usage and associated costs and provides the ability to manage water scheduling and plant moisture uptake. It is applied in low mix ratios with no dripper or spray nozzle blockage concerns and is trial proven to deliver up to a 30% reduction in water use, in addition to cost reductions on fertilisers, power and pumping.

WaterSavr™ patented evaporative control:
WaterSavr™ is a new bio-degradable patented monolayer surface water evaporation control reducing product that reduces evaporation on average by 35%. Apply WaterSavr™ to dams, aqueducts, canals or slow-moving rivers, reclamation ponds and fire ponds. WaterSavr™ forms a Patented Self-Spreading invisible film on the surface, reducing water evaporation up to 50% with an average of 35% savings. It is safe and environmentally-friendly as it biodegrades in 2-3 days and is composed of NSF and food grade chemicals. WaterSavr™ is designated by the United Nations Environment Program as an "Environmentally Sound Technology" to help in the management of freshwater supplies

Damseal® patented dam sealant:
Damseal® is a blend of high molecular weight polymers and when applied to a dam they seep into the voids between the soils particles sealing any leaks. Damseal® is applied to full, partially full or empty dams to reduce or eliminate seepage loss. Damseal® can also be applied during dam construction to ensure that no leaks occur after completion. Most dams have a certain amount of water loss due to seepage so it is recommended that Damseal® is applied to all dams to prevent leaks and to conserve water.
